Today, people know Otep more for the heavy rock band she fronts under her own name. Otep has toured internationally and released three music CDs -- the latest is 2007's "The Ascension." While passing through Minneapolis May 25, 2007, Otep spoke to Metaphor about her experiences on "Def Poetry Jam" and how her music and poetry intersect.
